8Ball has had a bit of a tragic past. His original owner passed away, and 8Ball was found beside his owner a few days later.
He was taken in by a neighbor, who already had 2 dogs and multiple human children. After realizing that 8Ball needed more activity than they were able to provide, his rescuer’s enlisted our help to find him the right home that could provide the stimulation he needs as a working breed.
We have had 8Ball here with us at Woof Gang Rehab since September. We have worked on his anxious behaviors through balanced training, as well as his obedience, and he has come a long way! He is already prong and e-collar conditioned, crate trained, and knows sit, down, place, down-stay, heel, loose leash walking, spin, go to kennel, go potty, and no, and more! His advanced obedience out in public is wonderful.
8Ball will make the perfect adventure buddy or running buddy! To him, ball = life. He is very food motivated and loves to train. He has great potential for any nose work sport, trick training, or agility type-activity! He is extremely athletic and is looking for his active match to show him how great life can be!
8Ball is dog and cat friendly, and accepts strangers well. He can play very rough with dogs, and can be selective at times, so if there is another dog in the home, we will need to make sure they are a good fit.
